Our church was founded in 1973 by the Rev. C.V. Holmes, organized and recognized by the Missionary Baptist Association of Wilmington, Delaware in 1973. The church is located at 25 Jerusalem way in Dover, Delaware. We occupy the renovated historical church sanctuary formerly home of the Whatcoat Methodist Church. Our founder, the Rev. C.V. Holmes, a native of New Jersey yet serves as pastor of over 42 years; sharing each Sunday his God-given talents as preacher/teacher, an accomplished organist, and singer of the gospel. During his ministry he has held membership in various religious bodies. In his earlier years of ministry, Pastor Holmes studied with various church sponsored bible institutes until singing and preaching engagements; running revivals including Bermuda, afforded no time for further formal study. Although unable to complete his sought after Master's degree, Pastor Holmes was an "A" student at the Trinity Bible College. Pastor Holmes furthered his theological training with the help of an extensive religious library and online study courses.
